Evergreen by Jessie Burner
Seasons fade, but I remain
Through the storm, through the rain
Every scar, a rooted sign
I bend, I break, but I still climb
I was fading but I had to try
Holding on through the longest night
Through the bad times, I still believe
I’ll always grow, I am evergreen
Winter whispers, shadows call
Still I rise above it all
Endless sky, the years unwind
But my heart beats outside of time
I was fading but I had to try
Holding on through the longest night
Through the bad times, I still believe
I’ll always grow, I am evergreen
Roots run deep where the light can’t fade
Through the darkness, I’ve found my place
Every ending brings me to the seed
That blooms again — I am evergreen
I was fading but I had to try
Holding on through the longest night
Through the bad times, I still believe
I’ll always grow, I am evergreen
Seasons fade, but I remain
Through the storm, through the rain
Every scar, a rooted sign
I bend, I break, but I still climb
I was fading but I had to try
Holding on through the longest night
Through the bad times, I still believe
I’ll always grow, I am evergreen
Winter whispers, shadows call
Still I rise above it all
Endless sky, the years unwind
But my heart beats outside of time
I was fading but I had to try
Holding on through the longest night
Through the bad times, I still believe
I’ll always grow, I am evergreen
Roots run deep where the light can’t fade
Through the darkness, I’ve found my place
Every ending brings me to the seed
That blooms again — I am evergreen
I was fading but I had to try
Holding on through the longest night
Through the bad times, I still believe
I’ll always grow, I am evergreen
